Know the city before you land.

GuidaVista guides are checked against official sources and dated, built as a full trip companion, and yours to read offline. Rome is live today, with more cities on the way.

Each edition is bought once in the app. No subscription for the guides.

How editions work

One guide, four ways to see a city

Every GuidaVista city guide comes in four editions. Each one includes everything in the edition below it, so you choose exactly how much guide you want, once, for that city.

St Peter's Basilica at dawn, for the Weekend edition.
Edition 1
Weekend

The must-see sights, a ready itinerary, and the practical basics for arriving and getting around.

The Colosseum at sunset, for the Classic edition.
Edition 2
Classic

Everything in Weekend, plus where to stay and where to eat, for a standard few days in the city.

A flower-lined Roman alley at golden hour, for the Slow edition.
Edition 3
Slow

Everything in Classic, plus fold-out maps, lesser-known spots, and a full budget breakdown.

A coastal town at dusk, for the Complete edition.
Edition 4
Complete

Everything in Slow, plus alternative routes, season-by-season notes, and the phrasebook.

Sold once in the app, no prices shown here, and kept on your phone for offline reading.

What makes a guide trustworthy

Checked, not guessed

Trip companion

Your trip, not just your guide

Once a trip is on the calendar, GuidaVista becomes a companion for it: day-by-day plans built from your guide, a map of everything you've saved, the local weather, and essential phrases, all downloaded to your phone.

Day plans

An hour-by-hour plan for each day, built from your guide's own itinerary and sights.

Map

Every sight and saved place on one map, so you always know what's close by.

Weather

The local forecast for your dates, right alongside the day's plan.

Phrases

Essential local phrases you can read, and hear spoken, without a connection.

Experiences

Activities your guide already found

The Experiences tab turns your guide's own picks, the ones with a page number, into things you can book: skip-the-line tickets, guided tours, day trips, food and evenings out.

A sculpture inside the Galleria Borghese. Galleria Borghese, timed entry
St Peter's Basilica dome at sunrise, seen from near the Vatican Museums. Vatican Museums, early entry
A Trastevere table set for a food tour. Food tour in Trastevere
The fountains of Villa d'Este in Tivoli. Day trip to Tivoli

Questions

Frequently asked

Is GuidaVista a subscription?

No. Each city guide edition, Weekend, Classic, Slow or Complete, is a one-time purchase inside the app. There is no subscription for the guides themselves.

Can I read my guide without an internet connection?

Yes. Once you own an edition, you can download it to your phone and read it offline, itineraries, maps and all.

What is the difference between the four editions?

Each edition includes everything in the one below it. Weekend covers the must-see sights and a ready itinerary. Classic adds stays and food. Slow adds maps, lesser-known spots and a budget breakdown. Complete adds alternative routes, seasonal notes and the phrasebook.

Which cities are available?

Rome is available today. We're working city by city on what comes next, so the facts stay checked.

How do you check your facts?

Opening hours, ticket prices, booking rules and transport details are checked against the destination's own official sources. Every guide page carries the date its facts were last confirmed.

Do I need separate apps for maps or weather?

No. Day plans, a map of your saved places, local weather and essential phrases are all built into GuidaVista alongside your guide.

What is the Experiences tab?

It turns your guide's own recommendations into bookable activities, skip-the-line tickets, guided tours, day trips and more, through partners such as GetYourGuide, Viator and Booking.com. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
